I help you draw out wisdom you may not have known you have. Rather than teach what other philosophers have said, a consulting philosopher helps each person, family, or organization discover what matters to them, what values they want to guide them, what wisdom is waiting to be discovered in their own hearts, minds, and experience. Encouraging people to dig deeper and get creative in making the insights practical is part of the job.

Philosophy is the love of wisdom. Philosophers love to study fundamental matters such as values, reason, purpose, meaning, language, and how life works just to name a few.

Many years ago, I was doing a branding survey on myself with my clients. As they talked, we discovered how they really experienced me, what they found unique and why they kept coming back. That is how the title came into being. It was a revelation to me that I was a consulting philosopher. It made sense, though. I fell in love with Socrates and philosophy in grade school.

In addition to undergraduate and graduate degrees in political philosophy, I've had 40 years of real world practice applying this. I also have studied Spiral Dynamics and other developmental models that have enriched my insights.
